Piegaro & Tavernelle
Just a 10 minutes drive away, Piegaro offers a small, traditional village atmosphere, perfect for a quiet stroll and a glimpse of authentic Umbrian life. Nearby Tavernelle is a bit larger and more practical, with supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, (clothing) stores and everything you might need during your stay, including an waterpark .
Together, they provide the perfect balance: local charm in Piegaro and convenience in Tavernelle, all within easy reach of the house.

Castiglione del Lago
For lakeside charm, Castiglione del Lago is a must-visit. Just a 30 minute drive away, this lively town on the shores of Lake Trasimeno combines history with a relaxed holiday atmosphere. Stroll along the waterfront, explore the old town and its impressive fortress, or enjoy a drink with views over the lake.
It’s the perfect spot for a laid-back afternoon or a sunset evening by the water.

Panicale
For a charming village experience, Panicale is well worth a visit.
Just a 15-minute drive away, this beautiful hilltop town is known for its narrow streets, lovely piazzas, and stunning views over Lake Trasimeno. It’s perfect for a relaxed stroll, a coffee on a terrace, or a refined dinner. Panicale is home to several excellent (fine dining) restaurants in an authentic setting.

Montarale
A 5-minute drive or a 45-minute walk through peaceful woodland leads you to Montarale. The summit sits at around 853 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views over Lago di Chiusi and Lago Trasimeno. It’s the perfect place to relax with a drink or enjoy a bite to eat at La Baita, especially in summer, when the higher altitude provides a refreshing escape from the heat.
